Jo Downs lives and works in Cornwall and has always taken much of the inspiration for her fused glass art from the surrounding landscape. Her series of Beach Bowls, with their layers of different colours and textures, evoke the sky, waves and sand of the Cornish coastline through the seasons and changing weather. Some of the most dramatic features of the coastline were created by submarine volcanoes millions of years ago when Cornwall lay under the sea. Each bowl measures 30cm x 30cm (12 inches square) and is supplied in a Jo Downs box. Please note that as each bowl is handmade, colours and pattern will vary from the illustration.
