Steiff's Cool Teddy is Nostalgic and Unique

Isn't this Teddy "cool"? The birth of this gorgeous bear began with an amazing mohair sample supplied by the fabric factory Steiff Schulte in early 2011. This swatch had a subtle vintage coloured light tan backing with a pale ice long pile. It was immediately quite clear that Steiff had to produce a Teddy bear with this superb fabric. So the challenge became to find the right character to pay tribute to this exceptional light blue colour effect. Steiff's designers based the final creation on a classic 1908 bear with a not-too-prominent cone nose. 42cm (approx 17 inches) tall Teddy Ice is a lovely fellow not only for the colder season, but also for warmer times as well. Ask him whether he prefers it warm or cold and he'll give you a decisive growl. He has been produced in a Limited Edition of 1500 pieces worldwide and has a brass-plated Button in Ear.
