"I wanted to make a bear that looked as if it had just been discovered after being hidden away in an attic for over one hundred years," says the designer of Millie, The Attic bear. "Some child many years ago had hugged her and played with her. She has her own story that will always stay a secret. She has a smile on her face so it seems as if she always had a very pleasant life." With one look at Millie, you´ll see that the designer succeeded on all counts. 30 cm (12 inch) tall Millie has all the hallmarks of an antique bear. Her golden brown mohair has a vintage feel. There are a few skipped stitches on the nose where the mohair shows through, simulating wear. Her paws are shaded to make her look old and dusty from the attic. Her head is loosely attached for the wobbly feel of an old bear. Finally, she wears a vintage-style collar made from velvet and felt. She's jointed and surface washable. Millie has been produced ion a limited edition of 1500 pieces worldwide and has a gold-plated Button in Ear. She is supplied in a steiff gift box.
