Monty is different kind of Steiff Teddy.

For a start, he´s a colour never before done in Steiff´s long, rich history. You'll notice his mohair is a hand-batik, aubergine short pile with a light purple cotton backing. As a finishing touch, a very subtle but visible coat of gold airbrushing has been added. You'll agree that such a special bear needs a special accessory. Steiff's designers chose a hand cast bronze Blossom Bell on a gold cord. This bell was originally used for special ceremonies in India. Monty´s nose and claws are hand stitched with matching embroidery thread and his hand and foot pads are sewn from custom made wool felt. Shake him softly and you will hear his Teddy bear voice in harmony with his sweet bell ringing.

Monty is 28cm (11 inches) tall. He has been produced in a Limited Edition of 1500 pieces worldwide. He is jointed and surface washable and has a gold-plated Button-In-Ear. Monty is supplied in a box with a numbered certificate.
