There's something special about this Teddy bear design from 1921 Replica that Steiff found exceptionally hard to capture. In fact, they first discovered this Teddy in 2007 and it stayed on the "drawing board" for three years. Then a designer decided to take a fresh look at the project. He saw something in the eyes and forehead that others hadn't noticed before. Suddenly, the solution became clear to him. The design then quickly fell into place and the result is the beautiful Teddy you can now see.

The gorgeous caramel tipped mohair is achieved through a special process by which it is dyed brown bleached and then distressed. There is shaving around the muzzle and eyes, with airbrushed accents as well. Like all true replicas, this one is excelsior stuffed with wood shavings for a traditional feel. The result is pure perfection.

The 46cm (18 inch) tall 1921 Teddy Bear Replica is a five jointed bear featuring glass eyes and a growler. He has an underscored button in ear made of patinated steel. He's part of a Limited edition of 1921 pieces and comes boxed with a numbered certificate.
